Movie Review: Top Three Best Movie Ending

67

By AlessMiranda

Hello there, boys and girls! I have been planning on writing a movie review entry in here but I find it too know-it-all and it can also be bias. First, I don't know much and second, I'm really bias. Hence, I decided to write about the three top movie ending, just right from the top of my head right now. I adore movies with an ending that just puzzles me or brings my heart to the floor. I could think of a lot more than three but due to space contraints, it's best that I just save the other movies for future movie reviews.

The Prestige

A wise man once said, "we all travel the same path in this world, some people just have better directions." One time you watch a movie and you just say, "he's supposed to be the bad man, why is he triumphant?" No pun here at all, that's exactly my reaction with this film. When you see that the good person become an antagonist and the protagonist, otherwise. A bit confusing but I still see the evil grin in Christian Bale's character at the end which really confused me. There's supposed to be a satisfying (to my taste) resolve in the end of the film that will make me believe that everything is correct, that justice was given to the right person. Somehow, this film left nothing but questions. But then again, this movie is all about magic afterall. There's no thrill in magic when you know all about the magician's secret, right?

Closer

I would say this film had a happy ending, but not the Happy Ending we would have loved. Again, it's reality. Life can be such a bitch. It throws you in a pool of love and happiness with someone and before you knew it, you realize you like someone else. You can't understand why, you just do. and if you can't cope up fast with the witty mouths of the the four characters in this film, you'd get lost in their on-going psychobabble and outright honesty. It makes me wonder somehow if I could get those words out in real life. I have always wanted to. I practiced it in my head before. When you are being played for a fool in every direction you look at, there is no other way but leave. If you have been in the same situation too many times before, why not travel across the world and change your name? It's the easiest and toughest thing to do. Oh the irony, I know.

Lost In Translation

I love that this movie did not have a happy ending. Sometimes, you wouldn't even figure out the point of the movie at all. You see them having fun, and getting tired of their real lives but instead of sulking, they're enjoying each other's company despite the evident age gap. It would look like a father-daughter relationship, but no they're not giving/taking silly advises out. They were just two people living in the moment. Sometimes I watch it again and hope that the ending miraculously changes; and they'd live happy ever after together. It doesn't give me that no matter how many times I watch it so it's thrilling like that, to me. It's the so-called "reality." You can playback whatever happened in your previus happy-turned-sour relationship over and over again, retrace your steps and see what you could have done better and so on and so forth but it will not change the present moment that you don't have that person in your life anymore. It keeps me on the edge --- in the movies, at least.

Sweet. I will add these three movies to my Netflix queue because of your hub! I could always use some good movie recommendations. I will start with the Prestige. I just watched Christian Bale in the fighter, he did an awesome job.

i know. he went through what he likes about morality and psychological thought experiment of the film and how crazy people could become to get to the "prestige." 4/5 film for me!
